Indiana is home to more than 258,000 IU graduates. IU has nearly 520,000 living graduates worldwide.

Indiana University has nearly 520,000 living graduates worldwide. (This figure includes graduates through December 2008.)
Over 258,000 IU graduates live in Indiana. More than 50 percent of Indiana's physicians, 40 percent of nurses, 64 percent of optometrists, 35 percent of teachers, 75 percent of lawyers, and 90 percent of dentists are IU graduates.
According to the 2007 Council of Alumni Association Executives, IU ranks third among U.S. colleges and universities in the total number of living graduates, and its alumni association is the seventh largest with more than 78,000 members.
More than 9,400 IU graduates live in more than 157 countries.
Gender statistics: IU has more than 280,000 living female graduates and 235,000 living male graduates.

The IUAA's headquarters are at the Virgil T. DeVault Alumni Center in Bloomington.
Alumni offices are located on each IU campus and at IUPUC (Columbus).
During the last fiscal year, IU alumni groups awarded scholarships worth more than $308,000 to IU students. In its history, the IUAA has awarded student scholarships totaling more than $4 million.
The IUAA has more than 100 chapters throughout the world and sponsors more than 50 school, campus, and special-interest alumni groups.
