It started with a fire. Our alumni keep that fire burning.
Indiana University Seminary
In 1854 a midnight blaze destroyed a fledgling frontier college. Alumni banded together to rebuild what would become Indiana University. And alumni have kept IU strong throughout its history—from rebuilding after the devastating 1854 fire to leading efforts to grow the university, extend its reach, and provide educational opportunities for the best and brightest students.
The IU Alumni Association started with a fire. Today, it’s burning brighter than ever with spirit and traditions on all eight campuses.
