About IUDM

Dance Marathon students march through the IUB campus to raise awareness about the IUDM.

Welcome IUDM alumni!

Continuing work 'For the Kids' with the IU Alumni Association.

To all Indiana University Dance Marathon alumni:

Connect with IU alums who share your experiences. The IUDM Alumni Association is for any Indiana University graduate or former student who was a part of the Dance Marathon.

Thank you for continuing to stay connected with IUDM and supporting the current executive council. I was on executive council in 2003-04 as the director of Riley Development. I've been on the alumni board going on four years now, and am halfway through my two-year term as president. I love staying connected with IUDM alumni, meeting each new executive council members, and seeing what amazing things are brought to each year's events and marathon!

With 20 years of IUDM under our belts, it's a great time to look back on how IUDM has grown over the years, as well as what we have to look forward to in the future. Due to our years of hard work fundraising, we are proud to announce that the Ryan White Infectious Disease Center's operating costs are now fully endowed, ensuring the future of the clinic and care for future patients. With this achieved, we've looked for new fundraising objectives for future councils to work toward. In August 2010, a new $10 million endowment was signed for IUDM and Riley Hospital to set up a nationally-recognized pediatric infectious disease research center. Consistent with IUDM's original mission, all future fundraising efforts will continue to support pediatric infectious diseases.

I encourage all alumni to stay as involved as they can. There are several ways to stay involved and support IUDM. Events like the summer golf outing, fall gala, football tailgates, and, of course, the marathon itself, are all great ways to come and meet new council members, donate, and reconnect with other DM alumni. Current exec members can always use help when it comes to internships, jobs, and mentorships. If you can provide assistance in these areas, please let us know. As our alumni base grows each year, we hope that IUDM alumni can provide support like no other organization at IU.
