GLBTAA Academic Scholarship
The GLBTAA academic scholarships are awarded to students, on any IU campus, based upon their academics, career goals, financial need, leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities, with consideration for involvement in activities raising awareness of GLBT issues. These scholarships help cultivate a new generation of leaders who are academically strong, as well as active in promoting diversity and understanding.
To apply for these scholarships for the 2016-2017 academic year, as well as other IUAA scholarships, complete the IU Scholarship Application in your One.IU account. Visit the IUAA Scholarships instruction page for more information on how to apply. The application is open from Oct. 1 – Mar. 10.
GLBTAA Emergency Scholarship
Each year, students lose vital financial support needed for their education for being open and honest about their sexual orientation. These students find themselves in dire need of funds and support in order to reach their educational goals.
We award emergency scholarships to those undergraduate students who have lost financial support from their parents after disclosing their sexual orientation or gender identity. These emergency scholarships ensure that our students need not choose between an IU education and living their lives "openly and honestly." Learn more about who qualifies for emergency support. Applications for emergency scholarships have no deadline.
