November

Are you thankful for your Thanksgiving Dinner? Give back!

Bring yourself, your family, and friends to volunteer at the Chicago Food Depository!

Join Chicago Chapter of the IUAA and volunteer your time one of two dates:

Saturday, Nov. 7, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
or
Saturday, Nov. 21, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The majority of the session will be spent repacking food in the warehouse. Groups will be given the option of taking a short break halfway through a three hour session. Volunteers must be able to stand for up to 90 minutes while doing some light lifting and bending.

Oct. 29, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Principal for a Day: The Chicago Chapter needs volunteers to be “principals for a day” at Chicago schools. The school visits will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a luncheon reception to follow. For more information, visit Chicago Principal for a Day. Give Back at Pritzker Elementary
On Saturday, June 6, and/or Sunday, June 7, from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. please stop by and work on the mosaic being installing on the front entrance of Pritzker Elementary, 2009 W. Schiller St., Chicago, IL 60622. It should be messy and fun!

IU Cares Blood Drive

Each year IU alumni have participated in a blood drive during the month of March. This year, as part of IU cares month, we are asking IU alumni to participate in the blood drive during the month of April. The Purdue alumni association has agreed to extend their blood-drive efforts into the month of April to continue the long standing friendly rivalry. See the details below:

Roll up your sleeves and donate during April.

Your blood donation to a LifeSource Blood Donor Center could save up to three lives. Please take time out of your busy schedule to help do your part in ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply for our community.
