Our mission

The Chicago chapter of the IU Alumni Association benefits its members, the university and the community by:

Providing fellowship and social opportunities for alumni living in the Chicago area
Offering programs that educate and inform alumni
Promoting Indiana University in the Chicago area
Contributing to the quality and progress of Indiana University and the Indiana University Alumni Association
Recruiting top students to attend Indiana University
Providing scholarships for students
Sponsoring community service projects
Building a base of volunteers to assist Indiana University

Welcome to your adopted IU home!

The Chicago chapter of the IU Alumni Association is the largest chapter outside Indiana, with more than 4,000 members. The chapter is a part of the IUAA’s worldwide chapter network. Our mission is to connect Chicagoland IU alumni with the university and each other. While doing so, we will make a positive impact on our community and the way it views IU.

Whether you’re a longtime resident of Chicago or have just arrived, the Chicago chapter is ready to help carry on the traditions of your Indiana University experience. Community service, cultural events, IU sports, lifelong learning—whatever your passion, the Chicago chapter has something for you.
