Third Annual Little 500 Party April 12
Break away from your everyday life to experience the World's Greatest College Weekend! Join the crowd to watch the 58th annual men's Little 500. Door prizes and special raffle prizes of IU memorabilia. Proceeds from the raffle tickets will benefit the Jerry Foster Memorial Scholarship Fund. Chopper’s brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and other food specials. $2.50 domestic drafts, $1 IU shots.
There are more than 600 IUAA members and over 5,000 IU alumni from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. Let's see how BIG we can make this party! Your friends and family are also welcome.

NCAA 1st and 2nd Rounds March 21 & 23, 2008
IU will play its first round game vs. Arkansas on Friday, March 21 @ 7:40 p.m. If IU wins its first round game, the second round game will be vs. Mount St. Mary’s or UNC on Sunday, March 23. Join fellow IU fans at Chopper’s (in the private party room to the right behind the pool table) to cheer on the Hoosiers!

Big Ten Tournament March 13-16, 2008
The Denver Chapter invited all of the Big Ten Colorado chapters to Chopper's for the Big Ten Tournament. Chopper's will designate space in the private party room (to the right behind the pool table) for the games.
IU plays Friday @ 7:00 p.m. MT vs.the winner of Minnesota and Northwestern. If IU wins, semi-final game is 2:05 p.m. MT on Saturday. If IU wins, final game is 1:30 p.m. MT Sunday.
Let your Big Ten Colorado friends know that for the 10:00 a.m. games on Thursday and Friday, Chopper's will open the doors for Big Ten fans but the kitchen doesn't open until 11:00 a.m.

6th Annual Rocky Mountain Big Ten Ski Trip March 1
Join your fellow Big Ten alumni for the 6th Annual Rocky Mountain Big Ten Ski Trip on Saturday, March 1. Last year we filled an entire car of the Ski Train to Winter Park with 68 local alumni and friends! See last year’s pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/rmac/tags/skitrain/. The deadline to sign up is February 1. Email Chris Durso of the MSU Rocky Mountain Alumni Club cdurso@intrawest.com for the sign-up sheet. Fill it out, and send it as an attachment back to Chris. Indiana Day with Straight No Chaser Feb. 9

The Denver Chapter will be hosting Indiana Day on Saturday, Feb. 9 with a reception at 7 p.m. and a concert at 8 p.m. The IUAA-sponsored men’s a cappella group, Straight No Chaser, will be performing at Cherry Creek High School’s Fine Arts Theatre. Invitations will be mailed to all IU alumni within the Denver Chapter region after the New Year.

Calling All Broomballers: Games Begin Jan. 4
If you haven't played broomball before, think of it as a combination of ice hockey and floor hockey, but played with brooms and without skates. Five players are on the ice at one time. This is a coed recreational level team. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to join. Our goal is just to have some fun with or without broomball skills. We already have returning players from our 2005 team so don't miss your chance to join the fun!
Dates: Six Fridays starting Jan. 4, 2008
Time: One hour match between 9 and 11:15 p.m.
Location: Big Bear Rink, 8580 E. Lowry Blvd., Denver, CO 80203
Cost: $40 due at registration and $15-$40 due Jan.4 depending upon the number of teammates.
