This meeting is open to ANYONE who is interested in getting more involved with the IUAA chapter.

Past Activities
Indiana Day 2009: The Jacksonville Chapter had the privilege of hosting Anthony and Lori Thompson for Indiana Day 2009. Anthony shared his memories of playing for coach Bill Mallory, attending the Heisman ceremony, and being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He also gave an excellent PowerPoint presentation about the new projects going on with IU’s athletic facilities. The chapter was thrilled to give away a football that was autographed by Anthony and football head coach Bill Lynch as well as an IU basketball autographed by men’s basketball head coach Tom Crean. We are already planning for Indiana Day 2010!
Suns Game: We had a good turnout for the Jacksonville Suns game in July 2008 where Jacksonville’s own Kellen Lewis and his parents graciously attended our pre-game cookout. They went above and beyond to get to know IU alumni. It was great to hear Kellen’s stories about his times at IU and his thoughts about the upcoming football season. A thank you goes out to our officer Walt Hermann for putting a lot of time and skills in grilling up the dogs and burgers.
Officer/Board: At the Suns game, we also elected (i.e., accepted volunteers) officers and board members for the 2008-09 session. We are always looking for more volunteers during the year. Contact one of the officers if you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the Jacksonville Chapter.
