2010 Year-End Gathering
Gathering

The Korea Chapter’s 2010 year-end gathering was held on Dec. 4 at the Novotel Ambassador Gangam. Some 208 IU alumni and their family members attended.

As part of the gathering, W. S. Joo was elected the chapter’s 26th president, Jacobs School of Music alumni performed a mini-concert, Taekyun (traditional Korean martial arts) was performed, and we enjoyed dinner and a drawing. Hyung Goo Oh was the lucky winner of a gift certificate.

The Korea chapter of the IUAA enjoyed the annual Jacobs School of Music Alumni Concert in Seoul on Oct. 10, 2010—exceptional alumni and a wonderful evening.

The Korea chapter of the IUAA held its annual alumni dinner on Dec. 5, 2009. The event was well attended by alumni of all ages. A special presentation outlining the future direction of IU was presented by the chapter’s leadership group, with wonderful music by IU alumni. A special thank you to alumni leadership for sponsoring and organizing the annual event.

IU International Alumni Conference and Reunion: Seoul, Korea

What a wonderful and memorable weekend the IU International Alumni Conference and Reunion proved to be! As one of the delegates shared, “My feet never touched the ground, it was such a fantastic weekend.” Thank you to all the 330-plus delegates from seven countries who came and shared in the IU spirit.
