What do you enjoy most about living in a college town?
Close to the action - sports, IU Auditorium, arts - where there is always something to see or do!
Where did you live?
We lived in a 35-foot trailer at 411 East 8th Street in Bloomington while I attended IU. I worked at Johnson Creamery and Crook’s Shell Service at Tenth and Walnut while at school. When you are married, you have to work in order to attend school. I am a native of Orleans, Indiana - "The Dogwood Capital of Indiana" (about 35 miles south of Bloomington on Highway 37).
What is your fondest memory of your years as an IU student?
Basketball and football games in the old Fieldhouse and the old stadium on Tenth Street. Great viewing. Playing intramural ball and shooting the breeze in the Commons.
