Favorite hangouts as an IU student:
As a student, my favorite places to hangout were the SRSC, and the couches by the fireplace in the IMU, followed closely by Kilroy's and The
Bluebird.
Most enjoyable aspects of living in a college town:
I love Bloomington and IU! It offers the perfect mix of outdoor activities and sports, which I love, access to unique stores, restaurants and
events, and also lots of ways to get involved with IU or the Bloomington community no matter what you're interested in. I feel right at home much
like where I grew up, but I never know when I will be challenged with a new opportunity to do or learn about something I never thought about before.
I often like going for a run around campus in the evening, and it never fails that I either run into someone I haven't talked to in a little while
or notice something interesting going on.
Fondest memory of IU as a student:
Two weeks of my time as a student are unforgettable. The first was welcome week my freshman year and hoofing it all over the campus and surrounding
area with my new friends from Teter, now my lifelong friends. The second was our NCAA basketball run in 2002; the excitement level around town was
incredible. My friends and I had a bad case of "senioritis" already so life pretty much revolved around staking out our game watching spot at Yogi's
or on Kirkwood somewhere the minute they opened the doors in the morning.
Where did you live?
I lived in Teter Quad my freshman year, and then lived with all my friends in a few adjacent apartments in the front section of Northlane
Condominiums on Kinser Pike for four more years.
