How long have you been in business in Bloomington?
I've been in business here for 16 years.

Describe your business and the services or products you offer.
I'm in a private optometric office where we offer eye health examinations, treatment of eye diseases, eyewear, and contact lenses. I specialize in hard-to fit contact lenses and prescriptions for vision problems caused by computer use. Pre and post-op LASIK counseling and follow-up is also an area of practice that I enjoy.

What do you like most about living and having a business in Bloomington/Monroe County?
I feel so fortunate to have a business in Bloomington. It is a vibrant, friendly, diverse community where one can enjoy a variety of cultural and sporting events. I really enjoy the mix of patients that I see and have met so many interesting and wonderful people here.

Are you an IU grad? If so, when did you graduate? Degree?
I received the O.D. degree in 1985 from IU.

Fondest IU memory?
My fondest IU memory, excluding all the good times with friends while I was in school, occurred in 1987 after I graduated. I returned to campus for an alumni trip to the Final Four in New Orleans. We won the championship, flew back after the game that night and were able to greet the team when they returned to Bloomington for an amazing celebration in Assembly Hall.

Why did you choose to be a Corporate Sponsor of the Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA?
I chose to be a Corporate Sponsor because it is good for the numerous local alumni to have an opportunity to get to know one another and socialize away from work. As a former president of the Optometry Alumni Association, I was able to appreciate all that the Alumni Association does and I believe in supporting them in any way I can.
