Sponsor Spotlight: February 2007

Paul Heilbrunn, Bucceto's Pizza and Pasta Restaurant

How long have you been in business in Bloomington?
I have been in business in Bloomington for almost two and a half years. Bucceto’s opened its first store in Bloomington in September of 2004.

Describe your business and the services or products you offer.
Bucceto's Smiling Teeth is a family-style Italian restaurant which offers quality food for affordable prices. The menu specializes in an array of innovative pizzas, calzones, pasta dishes, Italian chicken dinners, low-carb meals, and salads of the highest quality. We offer convenience and a friendly atmosphere and try our best to form relationships with our customers and the community we serve. We offer a full menu of dine-in, carry-out, and delivery, as well as affordable party trays for meetings and events. Bucceto’s now has two locations in Bloomington.

What do you like most about living and having a business in Bloomington/Monroe County?
I like how I can be involved with the community. I have really enjoyed my involvement with IU Athletics. It has helped me to forge many relationships on campus and throughout Bloomington.

Are you an IU grad? If so, when did you graduate? Degree?
No. However, both of my daughters attended IU and were in the Kelley School of Business.

Fondest IU Memory?
Being involved with IU Athletics has created many fond memories for me over the years. I have established many close relationships with many of the athletic teams through my involvement and sponsorship of IU Athletics and it’s been a lot of fun. Since Bucceto’s caters for the press room at all of the IU men’s basketball home games, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing all the excitement up close and personal. Bucceto’s also sponsors the women’s volleyball team, so I started going to all of their games. I had never been a real fan of volleyball, but after seeing one game, I was hooked. The same goes for IU women’s basketball. I must admit, until recently, I had never attended a women’s basketball game. This year’s team is awesome, the girls play hard, the local crowd is great, and each and every game is exciting to watch. Overall the spirit and excitement that resonates from this community have been very rewarding.

Why did you choose to be a corporate sponsor of the Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA?
I chose to be a corporate sponsor of the Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA because it is important to me to be connected to the university and the Bloomington community. As a business owner new to the community, the IUAA serves as an excellent networking resource for me and offers many opportunities. As a father of two IU graduates, the IUAA provides me with a way to give back to the university that provided my children with excellent educations.
