How long have you been in business in Bloomington?
Since 1962.

Describe your business and the services or products you offer.
We have made our name in inexpensive, quality used college textbooks, but we have much more than that! Our bookstore is an officially licensed supplier of college gear (IUGear.com). We also have sportswear, books, school and graduation supplies of all kinds, fraternity and sorority merchandise, and gifts for alumni and students. Most of our college merchandise is available for immediate purchase on our secure online store. We also offer FREE college textbook reservations!

What do you like most about living and having a business in Bloomington/Monroe County?
Bloomington/Monroe County is a wonderful place to live, work and have fun. We enjoy serving various aspects of our community and giving back through community service and encouraging our employees to be active members of the community too.

Are you an IU grad? If so, when did you graduate? Degree?
Several T.I.S. employees are either IU grads or currently enrolled at IU.

Fondest IU Memory?
Since our business' success is often tied to the success of IU athletic teams, we obviously have VERY fond memories of the basketball national championship teams and the success of the gridiron Hoosiers on the football field as well.

Why did you choose to be a corporate sponsor of the Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA?
The Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA is keeping local alumni connected to IU. We attempt to do the same thing by offering a large selection of merchandise that would appeal to alumni and fans in general. Plus, this is another way for our business to give back to the community by supporting an organization that is doing so many great things.
