How long have you been in business in Bloomington?
The Bloomington/Monroe County Convention & Visitors Bureau has been in business for 31years.
Describe your business and the services or products you offer.
In a nutshell, our mission as the official destination-marketing organization in town is to promote and market the many convention and visitor facilities, attractions, and all the activities and events that take place in the county.
What do you like most about living and having a business in Bloomington/Monroe County?
I feel the quality of life is excellent in Bloomington/Monroe County, and as an organization we are proud to be able to promote all the wonderful offerings in our community to those around the state, Midwest, and country.
Are you an IU grad? If so, when did you graduate? Degree?
I received my BS in recreation from the School of HPER in 1987.
Fondest IU memory?
1987 NCAA Championship, of course (a graduation present).
Why did you choose to be a corporate sponsor of the Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA?
Many of my co-workers are graduates of IU and Monroe County Chapter members. We realize the benefit of membership and working closely, not only with the local chapter, but with the Alumni Association as a whole. Working together we can spread the good word about Bloomington/Monroe County and the IUAA.
