About the Young Alumni Group

Calling all recent IU grads! Since you decided to stay in B-Town after graduation, we’ll assume that you would like to meet, socialize, and network with other people your age. We have the perfect solution for you — get involved with the Young Alumni group of the Monroe County Chapter of the IUAA. This newly formed group primarily targets IU graduates 35 and under to get together for various events including tailgates, happy hours, networking/professional events, and more. If you are a member of the IUAA, there is no additional charge to be a part of the Young Alumni group. Ian Essling, a 2002 Kelley School of Business graduate and currently a certified financial planner professional/partner with Innovative Financial Solutions, is the Young Alumni chairperson.

Our inaugural Young Alumni event was a tailgate on Saturday, Oct. 14, prior to the IU vs. Iowa game (see pictures below). The group met near the visitor parking lot beside the DeVault Alumni Center and enjoyed traditional IU tailgating with food, beverages, cornhole, socializing, and more!
