Seattle Chapter Scholarship

The Seattle Chapter of the IUAA has established an annual college scholarship program to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students residing in Washington and attending IU. A scholarship will be awarded to an individual who best exemplifies personal achievement and dedication in the areas of academics and extracurricular activities.

To be eligible for this award, the student must be:

  1. A graduating high school senior (or returning IU undergraduate) of good academic standing
  2. A resident of the state of Washington
  3. Assured of attending any IU campus in the fall of 2008

Interested students must complete the scholarship application and mail it to the Seattle Scholarship Commitee.

  • This application must be complete to be eligible for consideration by the Scholarship Committee.
  • The recipient will receive a one-time award after admission is confirmed. Scholarship and funds will be sent directly to IU.  The student’s account will receive a credit toward their tuition.
  • The Scholarship Committee will announce the scholarship winner at the Seattle Chapter of the IUAA's Student Send-off event in May.
  • All information will be held in confidence and shared only with members of the Scholarship Commitee.

The deadline for the application to be received is April 30, 2008.

IU Alumni Association Scholars

Applications are now being accepted for the IUAA scholarships.

Known as IU Alumni Association Scholars, this scholarship program provides support to IU students who are children of IU Alumni Association members.

One scholarship will be designated for a qualifying student from each of IU's eight campuses. The remainder will be awarded to students on an at-large basis. If there are no applicants from a particular campus or the applicants do not meet the criteria, that campus's scholarship will be added to the at-large scholarship pool. Preference will be given to those who have not received a scholarship in prior years.

The IU Alumni Association awards $1,000 scholarships to full-time undergraduate students, attending any IU campus, who are the children of IU Alumni Association members. Applications are due in early April. For further information or to apply online, visit the IUAA Scholars page.
