We work with the IU Alumni Association to serve alumni and friends of IU in the counties of Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White.
We offer several activities throughout the year to promote the university and to stay connected to IU and Bloomington.
2009 Student Send-Off
On Saturday, July 25, nine IU students and their families joined board members of the West Central Indiana Chapter of the IUAA for the annual Student Send-Off, held at the Cumberland Park South Shelter in West Lafayette.
After a cookout of hamburgers and brats, along with salads and desserts brought by students’ families, new Chapter President Chris Potts welcomed the students on behalf of the "hearty band of cultural missionaries" known as the West Central Indiana Chapter of IUAA. Students were invited to join the Student Alumni Association and participate in a community-outreach activity next April. Door prizes included gift certificates to T.I.S. Bookstore, a free one-year membership to SAA, and other IU and SAA items.
