Indiana Day with Miss Indiana (and current IU student) Bryn Chapman. More than 50 people attended this year's Indiana Day Celebration which featured Bryn Chapman, the 2003 Miss Indiana and a finalist in the Miss America pageant. Bryn is a vocal performance major at IU and a native of Carmel, Indiana. John Hobson, Senior Vice President, IU Alumni Association, also provided an update about the university.

IU Alumni Family Picnic and Student Send-Off. Join IU alumni, friends, and incoming freshmen and families for an afternoon cookout on Saturday, August 14. The event runs from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. (dinner at 5:00 p.m. -- bring a covered dish). Staff from the IU Admissions Office will be on hand to answer last minute questions from the students, and IU door prizes will be handed out. IU Preview Night. Prospective students interested in attending Indiana University Bloomington are encouraged to attend an IU Preview Night at the Best Western (I-65 and SR 26) on September 13. Over 300 students from the area attend Indiana University Bloomington each year. The program runs from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Staff and student leaders from the IUB Office of Admissions will be there to facilitate the program and to answer questions. College Fair at Lafayette Jefferson High School. Visit the IU booth to learn more about Indiana University! The college fair runs from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

IU Homecoming Bus Trip. Catch the Hoosiers this fall as they take on Minnesota in the 2004 Homecoming game. Once again, the alumni chapter will sponsor a bus that will depart from a location near I-65. The trip includes transporation to/from Bloomington, pre-game IU alumni luncheon, and game ticket. Bash the Boilers Pre-Game Bash (prior to the Old Oaken Bucket Football Game). The alumni chapter will sponsor a tent on the tarmack just outside Mackey Arena. Stop by for bevereages and food before going into Ross Ade Stadium for the game. The IU Marching Hundered and Cheerleaders will stop by along with repesentatives of the university. IU Basketball BEAT PURDUE Game Watch (IU vs. Purdue Assembly Hall)
Join other IU fans and alumni as we gather together to catch the broadcast of the IU vs. Purdue basketball game in Bloomington. The date of the game has not been announced yet, but once it is, the alumni chapter will finalize a location in Lafayette to catch the game as a group. It's always a lot of fun, and the only place for area IU alumni and fans to watch this particular game!

Plans are already underway for the chapter's annual meeting and banquet. Currently, the event is slated for April 9, 2005. We have invited one of IU's singing groups to perform that evening, and are in the process of securing a venue. More details will follow in the future.
