Claude Rich Open

For 20 years, the Claude Rich Open in Southwest Florida was the foremost Indiana University dinner, concert, program, and golf outing event of the winter season. More than 5,000 alumni and friends attended this event from 1989-2008, and more than $200,000 was raised for the Claude Rich Open Scholarship Fund. In 2008, Indiana University achieved its goal of fully endowing the scholarship fund and thus closed the final chapter on this highly successful social and recreational event and fundraiser.

In 2009, join us for two special IU events in Southwest Florida:

On Friday, Feb. 6, the Varsity Singers (the choreographic ensemble of the famed IU Singing Hoosiers) will visit Naples and perform a concert for IU alumni and friends. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. ET at Golden Gate High School, 2925 Magnolia Pond Drive. There is no admission fee to attend the concert and no R.S.V.P. required. For additional information, contact Kai Westerfield, IU Alumni Association, at (800) 824-3044.

Also, join us for the IU Alumni Association’s Winter College at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa in Ft. Myers on Feb. 20-22. Participants will experience a dynamic weekend of educational workshops presented by IU faculty and experts, lectures and lively discussions, and sumptuous food in a luxurious setting.
