Welcome to the IU Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Alumni Association Web site.
Having celebrated our 10th anniversary as an official affiliate group of the Indiana University Alumni Association in 2007, the GLBTAA continues to thrive. With a base over 1,000 people strong, we continue to look for new initiatives to get members involved.
The GLBTAA looks to hit off 2009 with a GLBTAA Homecoming event in conjunction with the annual PRIDE film festival held each January in Bloomington. With dinners, films, awards, cocktail receptions, silent auction, and a possible GLBT (and allies, of course) prom, the GLBTAA Homecoming is shaping up to be one of our best events ever.
Membership
Membership in the GLBTAA is free. You are not required to be an alumnus of IU or a member of the IUAA to join the GLBTAA. However, membership in the Indiana University Alumni Association is encouraged as it helps to fund our program.
Scholarships
During the 2007-08 school year, the GLBTAA awarded $7,500 in scholarships to deserving students. Thanks to funding provided by our membership, we can continue to help those who are in need and provide programs to help support our strategic plan and goals.
