Chapter Achievement Program

Achievement Levels

The IU Alumni Association Chapter Achievement Program recognizes alumni chapters according to three different achievement levels: IU Spirit, IU Tradition, and IU Legacy.

Prior to the start of IUAA’s fiscal year (July 1), chapters self-select the achievement level they wish to reach during the upcoming year. Each achievement level requires a minimum number of chapter activities or programs based on the Keystones of Excellence. Additionally, each achievement level requires the chapter to meet important basic annual requirements.

The achievement levels differ from one another depending on the number of activities or programs required of participating chapters. The basic level (Spirit) requires the fewest chapter activities or events per year, while the highest level (Legacy) requires the most programs. A brief description of the three achievement levels is included below.

IU Spirit Level

Chapters participating at this level complete the annual requirements plus a minimum of four additional programs selected from four of the eight Keystones of Excellence.
Please note that one of the programs must come from the Membership Keystone of Excellence.

Summary: Chapter sponsors a minimum of four different activities or programs per year plus annual requirements.
