Web sites

Most IUAA chapters have Web sites to promote their activities and programs. It's a great way to advertise the chapter, upcoming events and activities, scholarship opportunities, and anything related to IU!

Chapter Web sites vary, but most carry a similar look and feel. The IUAA creates and manages most alumni chapter Web sites. See samples of outstanding chapter Web sites..

How Do I Create a Chapter Web site through IUAA?
Contact your chapter liaison to get the process started. Visit other chapter Web sites to generate additional ideas for your chapter's Web site. The chapters staff can advise you regarding what is important to include. After you contact the staff, you will need to write text for your chapter Web site and submit it to the Chapters Online Request Center.

Most chapter Web sites include some or all of the following sections:

How Do I Update a Chapter Web site?
Simply submit changes, text, or photos on the Chapters Online Request Center. Select your chapter's name from the pull-down menu, and submit your updates or other information to be posted on the Web site. From there, your updates will be made by our staff and posted to your site. Once your Web site update is submitted to the Request Center, IUAA can typically make the change within three to five business days.

Chapter Web site Fees
Having a Web site for your alumni chapter is a great way to publish information quickly and inexpensively. If your chapter needs a Web site, and you would like the IUAA to create and maintain it for you, we have some simple fees associated with that service. For more information on these fees, please contact Mark Skirvin, senior director, alumni outreach at (812) 855-4339.
