June 5 to 7, 2009
Seoul, South Korea
What a wonderful and memorable weekend the IU International Alumni Conference and Reunion proved to be! As one of the delegates shared "my feet never touched the ground, it was such a fantastic weekend." Thank you to all the 330-plus delegates from seven countries who came and shared in the IU spirit.
There are too many people to thank for the success of the event here. Certainly, the IU Korean Alumni Chapter under the leadership of Young Jin Kim and Jong Suk Ye rolled out the red carpet for us. The Saturday night banquet was unparalleled with alumni musicians, royal cuisine, and a top-notch Korean folk performance. Thanks go to Mr. Se-Ung Lee for his generosity in making this possible.
Enjoy the photographs and memories of the event. We look forward to the next conference and reunion.
Sincerely,

Eric DeHaan
Director of International Alumni Relations

Dear Alumni and Friends of Indiana University,
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2009 IU International Alumni Conference and Reunion. This exciting event strengthens the extensive ties between Indiana University and our international partners throughout Asia.
The world around us is becoming smaller. Hence, Indiana University must continue to deepen its already strong traditions of global education and engagement. All of you are central to those global efforts.
This conference provides the ideal venue to learn about current trends and advancements at IU while reconnecting with colleagues and friends, building business and academic relationships, and refreshing memories. It reminds each of us that, around the globe, people are at the heart of education.

About the IU International Alumni Conference and Reunion
This conference will bring together Indiana University’s leading faculty and administrators whose areas of expertise may be of particular interest to IU’s international alumni.
Such a gathering of people from around the world represents Indiana University’s deep historic interest in global education. It will provide a wonderful opportunity for you, some of our most valued alumni, to learn about the latest developments at Indiana University and to share your professional views on issues of critical importance to everyone in the IU community and beyond.
The reunion will enable you to reconnect with former classmates from IU and to meet IU alumni from Asia, and others, spanning several generations. As you know, such interactions offer possibilities for both personal and professional growth.
These possibilities will be dramatically enhanced by the social events that have been planned to highlight Korean culture and talent.
