February 15, 2008

Dear “I” Winner:

I Association logoA year ago, we had just formed our I Association, and we set a course by our motto, “A new day, a new way to serve Indiana University and her athlete alumni!” Oh, what a year it was, and more so, what a year we have ahead of us. Of course, you are invited to join us for the fun and fellowship.

Specifically, in 2007 your I Association had: four Board of Director meetings held in February, May, August and December, with 22 active volunteers (15 men; decreased from the previous 20 of the I Men’s Association), 8 women (increased from the previous 3 of the I Women’s Association), including “ex officio” oversight from several members of the Alumni Association, Athletic Department and Varsity Club representatives, engaged in 5 committees. The committees consist of:

2007 was a smashing success!

2008 is going to be GREAT! Specifically, besides all of the above, continued Board of Directors development and nominations for the next two years with four board meetings, five committees, eight home tailgates, improving website, featuring our first online directory (later this year) and history, a study of structure and staff (with important issues for development to follow this year) and most importantly, emphasizing our “2008” in “2008” Membership Campaign and the inaugural “Women’s Award” (the women’s version of The Z.G. Clevenger Award, to be announced soon and conferred this fall)!

Obviously, your I Association hopes you continue to be, or again get involved with the fun and fellowship in the support and success of Indiana University and her Athletics!

Sincerely,
