Plaza bricks
Leave your mark at IU — buy a brick at the DeVault Alumni Center.
Want to set your love for IU in stone? Purchase a personalized brick for yourself or a loved one at the Virgil T. DeVault Alumni Center, home to the IUAA’s staff, volunteers, and alumni. (You can think of it as the IUAA’s mission control.)
Inscribed bricks are placed in Haugh Plaza in the Alumni Center’s backyard. The plaza, which features a beautiful water fountain set against a large green lawn, is frequently used for alumni and student functions, from pre-game rallies to ice cream socials. It’s accessed from the south doors of the first-floor dining room.

About the DeVault Alumni Center
The Virgil T. DeVault Alumni Center is located on 17th Street, just across from Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium. The Gothic design, textured limestone façade and arched doorways greet visiting IU alumni and friends, students, faculty and staff on the Bloomington campus.
For many years since its founding in 1854, the IUAA didn’t have a permanent home. The association shared space at the Indiana Memorial Union and rented property off-campus in downtown Bloomington until the existing building on campus was renovated and reopened in 1997.
