The remains of Jill Behrman were discovered in a rural Morgan County woods on March 9, 2003.
Jill was a 19-year-old IU Bloomington student when she disappeared on the morning of May 31, 2000. She had left home for a bike ride, and her whereabouts remained unknown for nearly three years.
Hunters in a remote area of Morgan County, near Paragon, stumbled on human remains, which have been positively identified as Jill's. She was the daughter of Eric and Marilyn Behrman, both IU employees.
"Hide and Seek" by Sylvia McNair and Noelle Wanchic dedicated to Marilyn and Eric Behrman and to Jill's House
IU graduate, Sylvia McNair, has recorded a very special song called "Hide and Seek," about a daughter longing to be found and pleading for her mother never to give up looking. Sylvia sings the role of the mother, searching, weary and feeling that deep concern and the hopelessness that comes when a child is missing.
Hideandseekdonate.com provides a Podcast of Sylvia McNair interviewed by Paul Mahern of MusicRebellion, a division of Digonex Technologies, Indianapolis. Her message is quite inspiring and very touching. Also available is an Audio PSA, a Video PSA and the Press Release about the project, which includes the story of how this all came about, a listing of all those involved (many are based in Bloomington/see below), information about NCMEC and experts available as a resource for this Hide and Seek Initiative. The press release also includes the lyrics to the song.

Note: Michael Wanchic of Bloomington produced this recording at Echo Park Studios The part of the daughter is sung by his daughter, Noelle Wanchic. Mike Wanchic also serves as vice president of Digital Media at Digonex and he is one of the founding members of the John Mellencamp band.
We first knew Sylvia when she was an IU student in School of Music (opera/vocal performance) and a soloist in our First United Methodist
Church choir. She has since become a dear friend and we are so grateful for her efforts to raise funds for the NCMEC and for remembering Jill and
our family.

Imagine a cancer treatment that precisely targets tumors. Imagine higher cure rates for localized cancers. Fewer side effects. And less damage
to healthy tissue in children and adults. That's proton therapy. And it's happening right now at the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute.
