Lifelong Learning
Enjoy a series of audio interviews with instructors from Mini University, Indiana University's award-winning learning vacation. Addressing such diverse topics as creativity, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the theory of evolution, the conversations provide a taste of the exciting courses offered at Mini U.
Education benefits people of all ages, locations, and backgrounds. The IU Alumni Association has a long history of connecting students, alumni, and friends through educational programs on IU campuses and in alumni chapters around the world.
Continuing Education
Each IU campus offers courses for adults interested in completing a degree, professional
development, or personal enrichment. Many such courses are available online.
Enrichment Opportunities
Events such as the IU Authors’ Series, free public lectures, concerts, and museum exhibits showcase
the talents of IU faculty and students and are great opportunities for enrichment. The university also offers free library resources, electronic newsletters, and podcasts for alumni and friends of IU.
Hoosier Travelers
The IUAA's travel program offers opportunities to see and learn about the world with IU alumni. Each year hundreds of alumni and friends go on nearly 40 tours to popular and exciting destinations worldwide. Alumni especially enjoy Study Tours, which feature international lecturers.
Mini University
Started in 1972, Mini University is a nationally recognized learning vacation. Each June, hundreds of lifelong learners gather at IU Bloomington for one week to learn from IU's outstanding faculty. Participants choose from more than 100 non-credit mini-courses and enjoy evening activities including summer theater, a picnic, and films.
Networking and Professional Development
IUAlumniCareers.com, the IUAA's online career and mentoring center, facilitates interactions between recent graduates and alumni who are already well established in their careers. The IUAA also sponsors professional conferences on IU campuses and local networking events hosted by alumni chapters.
Traditions and Cultures CD
An interactive CD provides an understanding of how and why IU Bloomington grew from a tiny rural seminary into one of the largest research universities in the country.
Winter College
Join fellow alumni and friends at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa in Fort Myers, Fla., for a dynamic weekend of educational workshops, lectures, and lively discussions, while enjoying sumptuous food, luxurious accommodations, and the warm Florida sun.
