Networking and Professional Development
The IUAA supports professional development and networking programs for alumni and students on IU campuses and around the world.
Career Services
A wealth of resources helps IU alumni develop and manage their careers at IUAlumniCareers.com, the IUAA's online career and mentoring center. Alumni may register to search for jobs, post their résumés for review by employers, or search for alumni mentors for career advice. Alumni are also invited to register as mentors to give career advice to their fellow alumni. Full access to the career services center is a benefit of membership in the IU Alumni Association. LeaderShape® IU
Using a hands-on, multidimensional curriculum, The LeaderShape® Institute IU prepares students to change their worlds by providing the tools needed to achieve new insights, improve relationships, build more effective teams, and ultimately enhance society. Sponsored by the IU Bloomington Student Alumni Association, the annual institute is open to students from all IU campuses.
Networking Nights
Students meet and mingle with career representatives at this series of workshops sponsored by the IU Bloomington Student Alumni Association and the Career Development Center. Each Networking Night features a panel discussion by IU alumni and other professionals who have pursued careers in a specified field. Student alumni organizations on many other IU campuses also sponsor networking events throughout the year.
Regional and special-interest events
Many of the IUAA's chapters, constituent societies, and affiliate groups organize networking events for their members. Chapters serve IU alumni in specific geographic regions, while constituent societies and affiliate groups serve alumni according to their academic or professional interests. See Chapters and Groups for lists of these organizations and to learn more about their activities.
