New event showcases IU Jacobs School of Music talent

On July 2, the IU Jacobs School of Music Summer Festival Orchestra performed at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Ill. The concert was part of a new event called IULive!

The orchestra’s musicians included distinguished IU faculty members and students, as well as guests from major symphony orchestras. World-renowned violinist and IU senior lecturer in music Joshua Bell, ArtD’89, performed Max Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy.
