Ten years after the 9/11 attacks, members of the 9/11 Commission gathered on the Bloomington campus for a public discussion of the country’s response to the threat of terrorism over the past decade.

In a two-hour talk on Sept. 15 at the IU Auditorium in front of an audience of nearly 1,000, the commissioners agreed that many of their recommendations — published in 2004 in the form of a 624-page book that became a national best-seller — had been implemented, but that the country remained vulnerable in a number of key areas.
