Submitting titles by IU authors

The Indiana Alumni Magazine reviews selected books written or edited by IU alumni, faculty, staff, and students. This section appears in each issue of the magazine.

Books selected to appear must appeal to a general audience. Fiction and poetry are included as well as nonfiction. Textbooks are not included. Articles in magazines and journals are not listed. Regrettably, space constraints make it impossible to include all books received.

Notable authors in past issues include journalist E. Jean Carroll, writers Scott R. Sanders and Ann Zwinger, cookbook author Bernard Clayton, basketball player Steve Alford, and Dan and Marilyn Quayle. Recent titles include Poor Policy: How Government Harms the Poor; Mother Songs: Poems for, by, and about Mothers; Harry S. Truman: A Life; Green; Moths to the Flame: The Seductions of Computer Technologies; and Politics for Dummies.

To submit a title, send a review copy and publicity material to the Managing Editor at Indiana Alumni Magazine, DeVault Alumni Center, 1000 East 17th Street, Bloomington, IN 47408-1521. Publicity materials may be faxed to the Managing Editor at (812) 855-4228. For more information, call (812) 855-2982 or send e-mail inquiries to iualumniatindiana.edu.
