This message is being sent to Indiana University Alumni Association staff, Executive Council members, chapter and affiliate group leaders, school and campus alumni directors, and Student Alumni Association leaders as a monthly resource for membership recruitment and retention.

Lakeshore Region Chapter wins Membership Matters Award

Congratulations to the Lakeshore Region Chapter, which was presented with the third annual Membership Matters Award at the annual chapter leaders banquet in June. This award acknowledges the efforts of an alumni chapter that has demonstrated outstanding initiative in the area of membership. The Lakeshore Region Chapter worked with the IUAA membership department to produce two 30-second radio commercials that aired during IU men’s basketball games in northern Indiana. These spots featured two former IU basketball players who are IUAA members.

Past Membership Matters award winners are:
2007: Monroe County Chapter, for its member-get-a member campaigns
2006: Columbus, Ohio Chapter, for its direct mail and e-mail campaigns
