Why I chose IU
IU has a superior educational reputation and is a great value. I knew that if I studied at the South Bend campus, I would have the opportunity to learn from and with many experienced non-traditional students in my business-school courses. I also knew that IUSB could offer very important internship experiences. The chance to play basketball for the IUSB Titans was a nice bonus.

Favorite memories of IU
So many great things come to mind, like meeting my future wife, Kelly, while hanging out with IU friends, rediscovering faith, participating in thought-provoking finance and management class discussions, attending absorbing political science and history lectures, and finding a strong sense of discovery and camaraderie amongst my classmates.

Advice to undergraduates
Don’t compromise your values or forget your faith, family, and friends as you go through life. Go ahead and challenge yourself by setting lofty goals and then aggressively pursuing them. Take time to help and invest in others along the way. Find balance as best you can. Remember that you not only represent yourself but also your family and IU. Get and stay involved in student life and the IU Alumni Association!

Why the IU Alumni Association is important to me
The Alumni Association has enriched me by allowing me to meet and stay connected with so many great people. It has provided me a fantastic way to stay in tune with IU and also allowed me to reinvest in the university. It is a pleasure to be around people who share such a strong passion for IU!
