Why I chose IU
I chose to attend the Herron School of Art and Design (it was then called the John Herron Art Institute, before it became
part of IUPUI) in Indianapolis because it was close to my home in Kokomo.
Favorite memories of Herron School of Art and Design
My favorite memory of Herron is David Rubins' drawing class. (Rubins is probably best known for his statue
of Abraham Lincoln on the lawn of the Indiana State Capitol.)
Favorite memories of Indiana
My favorite memories of Indiana are summer holidays spent at Bass Lake.
Advice to undergraduates
My advice to undergraduates is to never be discouraged by negative words about your work. If you love it, do it,
but don't expect to get rich.
Why the IU Alumni Association is important to me
The IU Alumni Association is important to me because it keeps me in touch with people.
