Why I chose IU
For me, there was never another choice. The beauty of the campus and array of academic, cultural, intramural, and volunteer opportunities made IU Bloomington my first choice and a natural home away from home.

Favorite memories of IU
Parading down Kirkwood with thousands of my closest friends after the IU men’s basketball team defeated Oklahoma in the Final Four, earning a spot in the NCAA championship game in the spring of 2002.

Advice to undergraduates
Take advantage of the resources IU offers you during your years as an undergrad. Become involved on campus and don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. There’s so much life outside of the Sample Gates in Bloomington. Don’t wait until your senior year to embrace your campus and community.

Why the IU Alumni Association is important to me
The Alumni Association is important to me because it keeps me connected to the university and offers wonderful opportunities to be active with my local alumni chapter. The IUAA provides countless avenues to network with fellow alumni, many of whom have become close friends over the years. The IUAA has given me so much, starting with my early days at Camp Brosius to today. I’m more than happy to support it right back!
