MyIUAA Help
MyIUAA lets you make a customizable homepage that keeps you connected to your social networks while staying connected to IU. Not only will you find people to connect with, you'll also find great new content from the IU campuses. This can be your one stop shop to stay connected to the IUAA.
Customize your page using widgets.
What is a Widget?
A widget is a self-contained device that you can move anywhere you want on MyIUAA. Widgets let you connect to your favorite social networks, watch movies, follow headlines, and more.
To customize, first select "add widgets" at the top of the MyIUAA. From that drop down box, select which widgets you'd like to see on your page. For more details on each widget, click on its name.
- RSS Feed: RSS feeds deliver content from news related sites, blogs, and other Web sources with changing content, keeping your page updated with information that’s important to you.
- Facebook: Facebook is a social networking site. View your Facebook news feed, IUAA groups, and upcoming IUAA group events on MyIUAA.
- Flickr: Flickr lets you easily share and view photos. View IUAA photos or your own.
- Twitter: Twitter is another social option designed to answer the question, "What are you doing?" View IUAA updates and update your own status with this widget.
As you select a widget to add, its window will open. Select "configure" to customize the content to your liking.
To rearrange your page, drag and drop the widget boxes where you want them.
Want a widget gone altogether? Click the X in the upper right of the widget box.
Want it back? Choose add widgets again. Or, add a widget more than once. For example, you can add a flickr widget for your personal photos, and another to keep track of other IUAA photos.
This is your page! Look for more customizable widgets to be added in the future.
Don’t have time to customize? You can use the default settings and still keep up to date with your Alumni Association.
