IU Alumni Chapters Service Projects

The Student Alumni Association is excited to partner with IU alumni chapters around the state to promote service, community, and IU pride during IU Cares month this April! Chapters around the country are participating in this annual public awareness and community-service campaign.

Around the state of Indiana, opportunities for students and alumni to work together on a community project are being arranged by local alumni chapters. These projects will benefit local communities, spread IU pride, and give you the chance to interact with IU alumni that are active in their chapter and community.

Past projects have included:

  • Johnson County Chapter Park Clean-Up
  • Lakeshore Chapter/Northwest Indiana Book Drive
  • West Central Chapter Hanna Community Center
  • West Central Chapter Habitat for Humanity
  • Central Indiana Chapter Earth Day Indiana Festival
  • Bloomington Habitat for Humanity

What’s the deal?

  • Transportation will be provided.
  • We will depart from Bloomington early Saturday morning and return early evening. Specific times will be provided at the orientation meeting.
  • Each participant will receive an official IU Cares T-shirt.
  • Meals will be provided.
  • The only thing you provide is your commitment to show up, work hard, and have fun!
