Greetings SAA/SAC alumni!
After many years of discussion, our SAA/SAC affiliate group to the IU Alumni Association will be presented for acceptance at the annual Executive Council meeting to be held this June in Bloomington.
What will be the goals of our alumni group? Here are a few areas that have been identified:
- Support current programs as alumni representatives
- Share memories and excitement for IU and SAA/SAC programs
- Provide guidance and support for current student leaders
- Establish a scholarship for current student leaders
We are already preparing for Homecoming 2009 and hope to unveil the theme to you via e-mail later this spring. Please take a moment to update your alumni profile online to receive our communications. In addition to Homecoming, we hope you will consider joining us at Hoosier Village, our pregame tailgates behind the DeVault Alumni Center. Hoosier Village includes live music, cornhole, hot food, and cold beverages from local favorite, Upland Brewing Company.
We will be setting up a conference call for those interested in our constitution, opportunities for programs with each other and current students, and coming up with a name. (We don’t want to be the Student Alumni Association Alumni Association.)
