The IU Alumni Association offers many programs and services for current students. Student alumni organizations, scholarship opportunities, and leadership development programs are available to students on all eight IU campuses. The IUAA also helps to organize important student events, including Commencement.

Campus Groups
Student alumni organizations exist on all IU campuses. They provide their members with educational and leadership-enhancing experiences and seek to increase awareness of the IU Alumni Association.

Scholarships
In 2006-2007, the IUAA awarded more than 250 scholarships worth approximately $303,000 to IU students. In its history, the IUAA has awarded scholarships totaling over $3.8 million. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of donors, IU license plate sales, scholarship endowments, and the efforts of alumni chapters, affiliate groups and constituent societies.

Leadership Development
LeaderShape IU, a nationally-recognized six-day leadership retreat, is organized by the IU Bloomington Student Alumni Association and is open to students from all eight campuses. Individual campus alumni offices also offer a variety of leadership and networking programs. Contact your campus's student alumni organization for details.

Commencement
Each year, approximately 17,000 students earn IU degrees. Many graduates and their loved ones attend Commencement ceremonies, held each May on all eight IU campuses and each December at IU Bloomington. In conjunction with the Office of University Ceremonies, IUAA staff members oversee Commencement planning and activities. The IUAA also sponsors an interfaith Baccalaureate service at IU Bloomington prior to the May Commencement.

University Ring Collection
The official ring of Indiana University is available to all students who have completed 56 credit hours, thereby achieving the status of junior or senior. IUAA sponsors an annual ceremony at which the rings are formally presented to students by university administrators.

Straight No Chaser
Ladies First

The IU Alumni Association is proud to sponsor two a cappella singing groups at IU Bloomington: Straight No Chaser, a men's group, and Ladies First, a women's group. While performing throughout the country, these groups sing the praises of IU.
