The Woodburn Guild
Remembering the Herman B Wells era through his unrelenting service to Indiana University.
The Woodburn Guild was established in 1981 by the Indiana University Alumni Association. The primary purpose of the Guild is to preserve the Woodburn House as a valuable part of Indiana University history. In accordance with this purpose, the Guild's Preservation Project has an outstanding mission.
The mission of the Wells Era Preservation project is to:
- Designate the Woodburn House as the official site of the Project.
- Invite participation in the Project.
- Communicate the life and times of Herman B Wells by placement of special memorabilia in the Woodburn House.
- Preserve the property and offer as a setting for approved functions in accordance with established guidelines.
- Provide inspiration through the study of artifacts to all who visit the Woodburn House.
